Luck: Season 1

In the high-stakes world of horse racing, luck can be both a friend and a foe. Chester "Ace" Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) knows this all too well, he's been in the game long enough to have learned that lesson. Fresh out of prison, Ace teams up with his old partner Gus Demitriou (Dennis Farina) to plot a daring scheme to take control of California's Santa Anita racetrack. But their plan isn't the only thing that's risky - there's also the matter of Ace's former associate Mike Smythe (Michael Gambon), who wants in on the action. As the stakes get higher and alliances are tested, everyone's luck begins to run out. Will Ace's intuition be enough to keep him ahead of the game?
