So unnecessarily bleak! It’s expertly done, well acted, and it made me feel… but why? What’s the point, besides feeding my depression, at least?

My favourite Stephen King novel has always been “The Long Walk”, so I was very excited to see if the movie would match the book and my very high expectations.

No matter how exhausted, desperate, or in agony they appear, you can't help but hope they keep walking. Not just to survive, but so we, the audience, don't have to say goodbye to them either.
