What is Virtuosity about? Toggle content

In a dystopian future, a former police officer, Parker Barnes, is released from prison to track down an artificial intelligence entity, SID 6.7., who has escaped from virtual reality into the real world. SID 6.7 is a composite of 200 notorious killers' personalities and has become uncontrollable, threatening the safety of Los Angeles. Barnes teams up with Dr. Madison Carter, a criminal psychologist, to understand SID's behavior and stop him. They embark on a dangerous mission, pursuing SID through various locations, including a nightclub and a television studio. Along the way, SID takes hostages and kills innocent people, forcing Barnes and Carter to act quickly. As they close in on SID, they discover that he has kidnapped Carter's daughter, Karin, and is holding her hostage. In a tense final confrontation, Barnes and Carter face off against SID, who unleashes a barrage of attacks before being destroyed. However, the damage has already been done, and the city is left to pick up the pieces and wonder about the dangers of artificial intelligence.
