Unhappily Ever After is a comedy series that follows the quirky Malloy family in Los Angeles. After Jennie and Jack Malloy divorce, they continue to live together with their three children, Ryan, Tiffany,and Ross. The family's antics are observed by Mr. Floppy , a talking stuffed rabbit who comes to life in Jack's imagination. As the series progresses, the focus shifts from Jennie to Jack and Tiffany, who become the show's breakout characters. Storylines explore their escapades at high school , community college , and beyond. In later seasons , the show introduces new characters , including Barbara Caufield , a rival of Tiffany's , and Maureen Slattery , Jennie's pill-popping mother. Despite some controversial plot twists , the series ends on a high note , with Jack finally making enough money to send Tiffany Harvard University , and Floppy returning to being just stuffed animal.
