Against the Ropes: Season 1

Against the Ropes follows the journey of Ángela, a former prisoner who's trying to regain her daughter's respect after being released from jail. Her daughter is a huge fan of lucha libre wrestling, and Ángela sees this as an opportunity to reconnect with her and create a new identity for herself. She decides to enter the ring as a mysterious persona, hoping to win her daughter's admiration and respect. But as she delves deeper into the world of lucha libre, Ángela realizes that the struggles she faces outside the ring may be just as tough as the ones she faces inside. Will she be able to balance her new life as a wrestler with her responsibilities as a mother? Or will the pressures of both worlds prove to be too much for her to handle?
