Ghostbusters: Afterlife

In the latest chapter of Ghostbusters' original story Ghostbusters: Afterlife follows a single mother, Callie (Carrie Coon), and her two children, Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (Mckenna Grace), as they move to a small town Callie's father, Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis), left behind. As they settle into their new life, they discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy left behind by Egon before his death. Together they must use their inherited knowledge and equipment to save the town from the supernatural threats their grandfather had been trying to protect them from. The film comes to theaters on July 11, 2021. The movie stars Carrie Coon as Callie Spengler, Finn Wolfhard as Trevor Spengler, Mckenna Grace as Phoebe Spengler, Paul Rudd as Gary Grooberson, Logan Kim as Podcast, Celeste O'Connor as Lucky Domingo, Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Raymond "Ray" Stantz, Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore, Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz, Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett, and Bokeem Woodbine as sheriff Sherman Domingo. The film is directed by Jason Reitman, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a sci-fi, fantasy, and adventure movie that promises to deliver the same mix of humor, excitement, and supernatural thrills that made the original Ghostbusters franchise so beloved. Its release in the summer of 2021 will allow both old and new fans to enjoy the continuation of the classic story on the big screen.
