The Promise of Chang’an

In the fictional kingdom of Sheng, a young woman named Helan Mingyu (Zhao Han Ying Zi) finds herself at the center of a complicated web of love, political intrigue, and personal sacrifice. As the granddaughter of a respected leader, Mingyu has grown up with the expectation of marrying well and contributing to the wealth and power of her family. However, when she meets the charming and kind-hearted Xiao Cheng Xu (Cheng Yi), she finds herself drawn to him despite the fact that he is from a lower social class. As they fall in love, Mingyu must navigate the complexities of court life, all while facing the challenges of living up to her family's expectations and dealing with the jealousy and resentment of those around her. When Xiao Cheng Xu is called away to war, Mingyu is left behind, struggling to find her place in a world that seems determined to tear them apart. Will their love prevail against the odds? Or will fate and duty conspire to keep them apart forever?
