What is The Greatest American Hero about? 
The Greatest American Hero is a comedy-adventure series that follows the adventures of Ralph Hinkley (William Katt), a Los Angeles teacher who is given a red superhero suit by extraterrestrial beings after a field trip gone wrong. The suit endows him with superhuman abilities, but he quickly loses its instruction manual, forcing him to learn how to use its powers by trial (and often hilarious) error. With the help of FBI agent Bill Maxwell (Robert Culp) and attorney Pam Davidson (Connie Sellecca), Ralph uses his newfound abilities to fight crime against the backdrop of the early 1980s. Despite its campy humor and low budget, the series was a hit and became an cult classic.
