The Fatal Mission

"The Fatal Mission" is a gripping Chinese drama series from 2016, directed by Chen Hao Wei. In 1942, the Chinese government learns that the Japanese are developing a dangerous biological weapon in a remote part of Burma. A secret specialized squad, the Chinese Expeditionary Force, is sent to the region to stop the Japanese actions. Led by tough female commander Liao Yi Fang (Jia Qing), the highly trained soldiers embark on a perilous journey to survive the treacherous Nujiang River, climb the unforgiving Savage Mountain, and find the Japanese secret camp. Will they succeed in their mission and reach their objective? Based on the novel "Nujiang Zhizhan" by Nan Pai San Shu and Qian Kun.
