Two sisters, Inês and Marta, were torn apart by a tragic accident in their childhood. Years later, they are reunited, but their reunion is bittersweet. Inês, who was rescued by their father, has grown up to be a successful businesswoman, while Marta, who was presumed dead, has been living a difficult life as an adopted child. As they reconnect, they discover that their past is full of secrets and lies, and they must navigate their complicated feelings towards each other. Meanwhile, João, a handsome doctor who is in love with Inês, becomes entangled in their lives and becomes the object of Marta's revenge. As the three of them become embroiled in a web of deceit and desire, they must confront the dark secrets of their past and confront the true meaning of family, love, and betrayal.
