In a world where balance is key, a young man named Keita crosses paths with a mysterious girl named Kuro, who possesses otherworldly powers. As they are attacked by an unknown assailant, Keita loses his left arm, but awakens the next morning to find it mysteriously regenerated. He soon discovers that Kuro is a Mototsumitama, a guardian of the equilibrium between humans and the earth, and that she has bound his fate to her own.
