Elif

"Elif" is a heart-wrenching drama that follows the lives of two star-crossed lovers, Melek and Kenan, who are forced apart by their different social classes. Melek, a young servant, becomes pregnant with Kenan's child, but is banished from his family's estate by his mother, who refuses to accept their relationship. Believing Kenan has abandoned her, Melek gives up their daughter, Elif, to be raised by a loyal servant, Ayşe, in order to protect her from her father's new wife and the cruel fate that awaits her. As the years pass, fate brings Melek and Kenan together again, but their love is still doomed by the societal norms that tore them apart. Will their daughter, Elif, be able to find happiness in a world that seems determined to keep her parents apart?
