In a world where global warming has caused massive flooding and the human race has been forced to adapt, a mysterious fleet of advanced warships known as the "Fleet of Mist" appears, seemingly out of nowhere, and begins attacking human ships. The Fleet then blocks all trade routes, crippling the global economy, and the human race is steadily beaten down. Seventeen years later, cadet Gunzo Chihaya and his crew, with the help of a humanoid life form that pilots a submarine, begin their fight against the Fleet of Mist. Armed with cutting-edge weaponry and a newfound determination, they set out to reclaim their place in the world and restore their species to its former glory. But as they delve deeper into the mystery of the Fleet, they begin to uncover secrets that threaten to shake the very foundations of their society.
