Sorprende, está bien, está buena, es de esas pelis para ver una vez y al tiempo ver de nuevo.
While it may feel like a cautionary tale for our times, the horrors at the heart of “The Substance” have been with us for many years, and the issues the movie uncovers are so much more than skin deep.

Read full review at The A.V. Club...while there's no denying that it's over-the-top, it's also deeply effective, serving as an intelligent, direct exposure of the double standard that's often applied to men's and women's bodies.
Read full review at Common Sense MediaWorth seeing because of sfx and camera. The trailer is better than the movie. Body gore well made and all, but this is not for me. Entertaining but that’s it.
Holy moly! A masterpiece in modern body-horror! Demi Moore is brilliant as Elisabeth/Sue, the sfx are amazing and the foley work and score is amazing! I'm blown away!
A phenomenal achievement of smart, funny, sexy, and f*cked up body horror.

Read full review at The GuardianSuper gross in an amazing way. Was nit what I expected at all and was pleasantly impressed with how the scenes were filmed. So much attention to details to make certain scenes more gross.
Light porn combined with Peter jackson-gore in a 100% pointless movie with a couple fun scenes.
...a piercing indictment of society's attitude toward women's aging told via body horror.
