...a Sequel That Somehow Makes Even Less Sense (in a Good Way)

Like the first film, Another Simple Favor is an exceptionally well-dressed movie, and one with the good sense to make its statement outfits part of the film’s humor as well as its aesthetic.

It feels like a holiday, and a pretty fun one at that, but it could have used a few wilder turns just to keep us – like its stilettoed leading ladies – constantly on our toes.

...has no aspirations beyond being a quick morsel. And a morsel it is.

As before, Kendrick is a winningly perky foil for Lively’s mad machinations, and there’s much fun to be had as both actresses snipe at one another from behind an increasingly tattered pretence of mutual bestie-ship.
