In this comedy-drama film, Goldie Hawn plays Molly McGrath, a high school track coach who dreams of leading a football team. When she finally gets the opportunity to coach a team at an inner-city Chicago high school, she faces opposition from her ex-husband and the school's male-dominated administration. Despite the obstacles, Molly's determination and spirit help her to whip the team into shape and build a bond with her players. With the help of a former star football player and a comedic misfit, Molly prepares her team for the city championship against her old school, Prescott High. As she fights for her team's success and her daughters' custody, Molly proves that a woman can coach football just as well as any man.
