What is The Bastards about? 
In a corrupt Romanian politics, a former revolutionary turned presidential advisor, a wealthy businessman, and a powerful general engage in a web of deceit and betrayal. As the Prime Minister tries to maintain his grip on power, he orders the arrest of the businessman, but the President demands his release. The Prime Minister then attempts to buy the loyalty of an opposition senator and a reporter, but his plans are foiled when the general refuses his offer and threatens revenge. In the end, the Prime Minister resorts to assassination, leaving the former revolutionary disillusioned and symbolically burying the revolution.
