Running Scared

In this crime thriller set in New Jersey City, a low-ranking mobster named Joey Gazelle fakes his death to protect himself from both the dangerous world of organized crime and from the FBI after a drug deal gone awry. Joey takes on the responsibility of hiding a gun connected to corrupt cops murdered during a botched drug deal executed by two corrupt cops but keeps it in his home's basement instead, where it is discovered by Oleg an arrest adolescent boy who lives next door, which leads to chaos Joey could have never imagined: a crossfire that involves him, Oleg—who witnessed Joey hiding the guns—and many others targeted by Russian mobster Ivan and the FBI agents who start tailing Joey following his undercover involvement in the drug deal. In the end, Joey fakes death to save himself and his family members from all parties after which he retires from the criminal world and begins a peaceful life away from New Jersey City, at a farmhouse outside the city.
