In this fantastical adventure film, a young boy named Kevin discovers that his bedroom wall leads to other points in time and space. He joins a group of six dwarfs who have stolen a map that charts these holes and are using it to steal treasures from different eras while avoiding detection by the Supreme Being. Alongside Kevin, the dwarfs encounter historical figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte and Robin Hood while traveling through time, but their activities are monitored by Evil, a malevolent being who seeks to acquire their map. Kevin becomes separated from the group and meets King Agamemnon before being reunited with his dwarf friends on the RMS Titanic. After surviving encounters with ogres and a giant, the group locates the Fortress of Ultimate Darkness, where they find "The Most Fabulous Object in the World," but are trapped by Evil. In the climactic scene, Evil is defeated by the Supreme Being; Kevin and the dwarfs return to their own time, leaving Kevin with an incredible story to tell. This iconic time-travel film is packed with original ideas, humor, stunning visuals at the hands of director Terry Gilliam, and a memorable cast of characters.
