When middle-aged Michael, a man with terminal cancer, asks his neighbor and best friend Andy to help him end his life, their unlikely friendship takes an unexpected turn. Andy is reluctant to assist Michael in his suicide but agrees to join him on a road trip to the closest pharmacy. Along the way, they reflect on their lives, share their deepest fears and dreams, and discover a newfound appreciation for each other. As they face the reality of Michael's impending death, they must confront their own mortality and the meaning of friendship.
