Joachim, a once-successful television producer, leaves his old life behind - including his family, friends, and enemies - to start anew in America. He returns to France with a group of burlesque dancers, promising them a grand performance in Paris. As they tour the French port cities, they make a name for themselves and generate buzz, but old conflicts resurface upon their return to the capital. Joachim is betrayed by someone from his past, and the Paris finale falls apart. Despite setbacks, the showgirls continue to captivate audiences with their extravagant performances, inventing a world of fantasy, warmth, and celebration.
