Nothing but Trouble

Nothing but Trouble is a 1991 adventure comedy film directed by Dan Aykroyd and starring Chevy Chase, Demi Moore, John Candy, and Dan Aykroyd. The movie follows the story of wealthy businessman Chris Thorne, who agrees to drive his new acquaintance, lawyer Diane Lightson, to Atlantic City for a client meeting. Along the way, they are joined by two wealthy and flamboyant Argentinian siblings Fausto and Renalda Squiriniszu. As they drive through the small town of Valkenvania (pop. 4), they are pulled over by an overzealous cop for a minor traffic violation. The cop, Dennis (played by John Candy), takes the group to the town's courthouse, where they are brought before the eccentric and sadistic Judge Alvin Valkenheiser (played by Dan Aykroyd), who has a personal vendetta against the wealthy and well-educated. The group must then face a series of bizarre and hilarious challenges to survive the judge's twisted games and escape the town alive.
