Mister T.

In 1953, Warsaw, a city rebuilding itself after the devastation of World War II, a renowned writer, Mr. T, struggles to make a living by giving private lessons. Living in a hotel for authors, he fantasizes about an idea that could bring the Polish capital to its knees. As he mentors a young journalist from the countryside, his ironical perspective on the Stalinist reality around him is revealed. Inspired by real-life Polish literati, the film portrays the absurdity of a regime where terror and prohibited jazz coexist, and where the most important person in the country can be found in the bathroom.
