Begge skuespillere leverer pragtpræstationer både i deres sprudlende samspil, men ligeledes i flere solo scener, hvor de konstant rammes af fortærende fremmedgørelse, selvbevidst selvudslettelse, fabulerende fortvivlelse og eksistentiel ensomhed.

In the sweltering summer of 2011, Madrid is gripped by a sense of unease. As the city prepares for the visit of Pope Benedict XVI, a serial killer is targeting older women, raping and murdering them in their homes. Two police inspectors, Velarde and Alfaro, are tasked with solving the case amidst the chaos of the city's streets. With tempers flaring and the pressure mounting, the two men must race against time to catch the killer before he strikes again. But as they delve deeper into the case, they begin to realize that neither of them is as different from the killer as they thought.
