In the heart of Manhattan, a chance encounter between two 11-year-old friends, Gabe and Rosemary Telesco, sparks a whirlwind adventure of first love, karate classes, and figuring out life. With their parents preoccupied with their own issues, Gabe's father, Adam, and Rosemary's mother, Leslie - who are also friends - try to navigate their children through the ups and downs of growing up in the city that never sleeps.
