...the fighting is once more beautiful, balletic and so meticulously executed it almost makes you want to cry...

The film is so good to look at and listen to that, as with some operas, the story is almost beside the point, serving primarily to get us from one spectacular scene to another.

The puzzle-piece plot is just one in a series of delights here; there’s also Xiaoding Zhao’s lush photography, the adrenal-shot fight scenes (...), and the wonderfully impish push-pull of Zhang and Kaneshiro’s chemistry.

...fyldt med klimatiske actionscener, der alle foregår i naturens skød, men er alt andet end naturlige.
