Keeping the Bees

In "Keeping the Bees," a young woman named Ayşe returns to her hometown in northeastern Turkey to care for her ailing mother. As her mother's health declines, she entrusts Ayşe with the responsibility of managing her cherished bee hives. Despite her initial hesitation, Ayşe puts her modern life on hold to take on the challenge, only to find that the lessons of her childhood are harder to recall than she thought. With the help of a local beekeeper, Ayşe learns to navigate the complexities of beekeeping and confronts a looming threat to her hives from a Caucasian bear. As she fights to protect her mother's legacy, Ayşe discovers a deeper connection with her past and a new sense of purpose in life.
