Honey Boy

Honey Boy is a drama film that tells the story of a child star named Otis Lort who struggles with addiction and a tumultuous relationship with his father, James, a former rodeo clown. The film takes place over the course of a decade, from 1995 to 2005, and follows Otis' journey as he tries to reconcile with his father and come to terms with his past. Along the way, he meets a shy young woman who becomes a source of comfort and support for him. Through exposure therapy, Otis is forced to confront his traumatic memories and work towards healing and forgiveness. The film features Shia LaBeouf in the role of James Lort, Lucas Hedges as Otis Lort, and Noah Jupe as young Otis Lort. It is directed by Alma Har'el and features FKA twigs in her acting debut as the Shy Girl.
