Galaxy Quest

In a world where science fiction has become a reality, a group of washed-up actors from a cancelled TV show called Galaxy Quest are recruited by a group of real-life aliens to save the universe from an evil threat. The actors, who played heroes on the show, must now become the heroes they once pretended to be and embark on a dangerous adventure through space. Along the way, they must confront their own personal demons and learn to work together in order to save the galaxy. But as they navigate their way through the cosmos, they begin to realize that fiction and reality are not always clear-cut, and that the line between the two can be dangerously blurred.
