A Prophet

A Prophet tells the story of Malik El Djebena, a young French man of Algerian descent who is sentenced to six years in prison for attacking police officers. Upon his arrival, he falls under the sway of Corsican mobsters led by César Luciani, who enforces a brutal rule. Despite his illiteracy and lack of connections, Malik quickly learns the ways of prison life and earns the protection of the Corsicans. He becomes embroiled in a world of crime and violence, but also discovers a sense of loyalty and purpose among his fellow prisoners. As he rises through the ranks, Malik must confront his own demons and make difficult choices that will determine his future. Will he continue to be a pawn in Luciani's game or find a way to break free and forge his own path?
