Edhel is a young girl born with pointed ears, which she believes make her an outcast. She avoids human contact and finds solace in her horse, Caron, who reminds her of her late father. Her difficult relationship with her mother, Geneva, leads to her feeling isolated and alone. However, when she meets Silvano, a quirky janitor who introduces her to fantasy, Edhel begins to see herself as part of an ancient elven race.
