In the shadows of London's bustling streets, a Nigerian immigrant named Okwe (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) works as a taxi driver and a hotel receptionist while trying to survive as an undocumented immigrant. When he discovers a human heart in one of the hotel's toilets, Okwe is suddenly thrust into a dark underworld of organ trafficking and must confront the harsh realities of his new life. With the help of a Turkish Muslim woman named Senay (played by Tautou), Okwe must navigate this dangerous world and make impossible choices to ensure their survival. But as they delve deeper into the criminal underworld, they begin to uncover secrets that threaten to destroy everything they hold dear. Will they be able to escape the shadows and start a new life, or will they become the next victims of the dirty pretty things that lurk in the shadows of London?
