What is Bright: Samurai Soul about? Toggle content

In 1868, Japan's Meiji Restoration begins, and a human ronin named Izou fights to protect the Shogun Yoshinobu Tokugawa against the New Government Army. With his superior killed and his brothel raided, Izou, an Elf named Sonya, and an orc named Raiden team up to save Sonya from their common adversary and take her to Hakodate - the land of the Elves - as requested by Chihaya, a high courtesan who took Sonya in after recognizing her as an Elf. During their journey, they encounter dangerous battles against Sonya's former captors and others who seek to capture her; Izou reveals that he fights not to die but to be alive, while Raiden offers his services after breaking free from his restraints using a rock to break off his right fang as a symbol of his vow. Will they succeed in their mission and protect Sonya from those who want to harm her, or will they fail, and she falls into the wrong hands?
