Agnes Joy follows the story of Rannveig, a suburban mother and wife struggling with burnout in every aspect of her life. Her job is unfulfilling, her marriage is fizzling out, and her relationship with her almost-adult daughter Agnes is fraught with tension. Just when she thinks things can't get any worse, a new neighbor, Hreinn, enters their lives and throws everything off balance. As Rannveig and her family grapple with the challenges that come with Hreinn's arrival, they are forced to confront the harsh realities of their own relationships and the inevitability of change. Will they be able to find a way to overcome their struggles or will they become lost in the process?
