A Long Walk

"A Long Walk" is a poignant drama that follows the story of a retired girls' high school principal, Yasutaro Matsuda, who has lost his wife to alcoholism and moves to a small country town to start anew. There, he forms an unlikely bond with a neglected little girl named Sachi, who lives in the same apartment complex. As they spend more time together, Yasutaro begins to confront his own loneliness and find a sense of purpose in his life. Meanwhile, Sachi's mother, Mayumi, struggles with her own demons and the consequences of her negligence towards her daughter. The film explores themes of loss, isolation, and redemption in a subtle and powerful way.
