1864: The Battle For Europe

In the midst of patriotic fervor and political tensions, two brothers, Laust and Peter, grow up in a small community and both fall in love with the beautiful and refined Inge. As the Danish government plans to incorporate Schleswig into the kingdom, the Prussian and Austrian armies, led by Otto von Bismarck, threaten the country's sovereignty. The brothers are forced to choose between their love for Inge and their duty to their country, all while the threat of war looms over their heads. Through the lens of a young girl named Claudia, who discovers Inge's diary 150 years later, we witness the tragic events of the Second Schleswig War and the devastating consequences it has on the young people caught in its path.
