Poor Things
It takes a lot of talent and an amazing cast of actors to bring to life a story so unconventional and profound but yet so entertaining and easily digestible.
It’s easy to spot nods to other masterworks in this movie: from Mary Shelley’s to Mel Brooks’ Frankenstein, from Stanley Kubrick’s Lolita to Around the World in 80 Days, from Milan Kundera to Wes Anderson.
But, in spite of the many inspirations, this movie manages to remain entirely fresh and original, never pretentious and one of the most innovative and entertaining products of the last years.
