Wangan Midnight

Wangan Midnight tells the story of Akio Asakura, a high school student who finds and buys a heavily-modified first-generation Datsun S30 Fairlady Z from a junkyard. The car, known as "Devil Z," has a dark history of accidents and is believed to be cursed. Akio becomes fascinated with the car and decides to restore it, despite warnings from his friends and the car's previous owner. He soon discovers that the car's first owner shared his name and was killed in a race with the legendary "Blackbird" Porsche 911 Turbo. As Akio begins to race on the Wangan highway, he finds himself in a dangerous world of street racing where the stakes are high and the competition is fierce.
