Torrente: Season 1

Torrente follows the story of Ana Julia Briceño, a successful OB-GYN who is happily married to Reinaldo Gabaldón, a pediatrician. However, their perfect life is turned upside down when Ana Julia becomes involved in a plane crash that leaves her with a severe case of memory loss, and everyone on board is presumed dead. In the aftermath, Reinaldo and Ana Julia's best friend, Valeria Velutini, find comfort in each other's arms and eventually spend the night together. Unbeknownst to Reinaldo, Valeria becomes pregnant with Ana Julia's egg, which was fertilized by Reinaldo's sperm before the plane crash. As the pregnancy progresses, Valeria keeps the truth from Reinaldo, leading to a complex web of secrets and lies that threaten to destroy their relationships. Meanwhile, Ana Julia is being cared for by Bayardo Santa Cruz in the Amazon jungle and eventually recoverers her memory and returns home, only to find that her husband and best friend are now a couple, living a life built on deception.
