Marimar

Marimar is a poor, innocent girl who lives with her grandparents in a hut on the beach. She falls in love with Sergio, the son of a wealthy ranch owner, and they get married. However, Sergio's stepmother, Angélica, despises Marimar and sets out to disparage and humiliate her. Angélica's cruel behavior leads Marimar to become vengeful and she sets out to ruin the Santibáñez family. She adopts a new identity, Bella Aldama, and becomes a successful businesswoman. Marimar's campaign against the Santibáñez family becomes complicated when she falls in love with Sergio again and he falls in love with her. In the end, Marimar decides to leave Sergio and his family alone, but not before she strips them of their wealth and renames their ranch Hacienda los Abuelos.
