They already had two sons, Derek and Dax, and they wanted a little girl. When the family met Dana, they fell immediately in love with her, and Derek confirmed he wanted the young girl for his sister. Little did the family know, twenty-three years later, Dana would end up saving her brother DerekÍs life. Teen Angel On a cold October afternoon, Ellen had gone with her husband Dick and their friend to run their radio-controlled power boats on a pond only a few blocks from their home. When it started getting late, they decided to make one more run before dark. As the boat was returning, it sputtered, coughed, and died in the water. Dick, an avid hobbyist, couldnÍt possibly leave his expensive new toy in the pond, so he set out in an attempt to retrieve the boat. Ellen and their friend watched as Dick stepped into the icy water, jeans, jacket, tennis shoes and all. Suddenly, and without warning, he disappeared under the water. Ellen and their friend couldnÍt swim well themselves, so all they could do was watch and pray for an angel to save him. Hay Baler It was St. PatrickÍs Day when Bob was nearly crushed to death by almost 1,000 pounds of hay. He had broken thirty bones in his chest, broken bones in his head and face, and had lacerations all over his body, but, he somehow managed to crawl where someone might hear his weak and mumbled cries for help. Over an hour after the accident, his grandson was crossing the yard to go to a friendÍs house when he heard his grandfather. Bob was found and brought to the hospital, but the doctors didnÍt think he would survive. He stunned the doctors, and everyone else, when he walked out of the hospital two weeks later. The family feels the power of prayer and a bit of divine intervention saved the life of Bob that day. Freeway Delivery McKenzie entered the world in dramatic style February 6, 1999. As her father, Michael, was rushing her mother, Donna, to the hospital for McKenzieÍs delivery, Donna went into labor earlyƒ while they were stuck in a morning rush hour traffic jam, which forced Michael to pull their mini-van over to the shoulder of a bypass. It was not to be a routine delivery either, as the baby was turned around in the womb, and coming out feet first. Fortunately, a paramedic on his way to work had uncharacteristically stopped for a fifteen-minute break at about the halfway mark of his forty-mile morning commute. His delays had caused George to be in the right place at the right time, when he was needed most.

43min - Popsicle the Drug Dog During an arrest at a drug dealerÍs home, a policeman named Ron made a startling discovery. For a reason he still cannot explain, Ron had an impulse to open an abandoned freezer on the property. Inside, he found a bulging black trash bag. When he poked at it, it began to move. Horrified that he might have just found a baby inside, Clark immediately opened the bag and discovered a scrawny, blood-caked, skin-and-bones pit bull puppy. The puppy has since been named Popsicle. After his rescue, Popsicle was nursed back to health, and he has ironically gone on to become a decorated drug-sniffing dog working for the United States Customs Office. Years later, Popsicle helped the feds seize more than 3,000 pounds of cocaine, which at that time was the biggest drug bust ever recorded at a port of entry. Ministry Mentor Bill has a busy schedule, yet heÍs found time over the past several years to devote Saturday mornings to working with troubled teenagers at a detention camp. Many of these teens are felons who serve time at the detention camp for several months before being released from custody. Volunteers here are the last, and probably best chance the system has to convince these young adults to start on a new course in life, rather than revisit the lives they used to lead. A twenty-year-old gang-banger named Jose is a former detainee whose life was turned around with BillÍs support and undying persistence. Bill simply refused to let Jose fall back into his former violent lifestyle. Today, Jose is married with two beautiful young children, and their future is bright. His life couldnÍt be more different than it had been thanks in large part to BillÍs inspiring will to get involved. Protective Angel Karen thanks God every day for the life of her daughter, Katie. On the evening of September 26, 1996, when Katie was two-and-a-half years old, she was run over by the family station wagon that was being driven by her father. Remarkably, Katie survived the incident by only a few minor abrasions. Out of the blue that day, and prior to the incident, Katie had asked her mother to say prayers with her at nap-time, and asked God to send angels to watch over her. (This was unusual because her father had always said prayers with Katie at night, but Katie never initiated them herself, nor had she ever asked to pray at nap-time before.). Karen believes those prayers were directly answered that evening when the car was directly on top of Katie, and did not do any damage. Heart from a Friend Rodney, at thirty-six years of age, was in top physical condition, and he was an athlete, but, things changed drastically within a matter of months after Rodney caught, what he thought at the time, was just the flu. After the flu dissipated, Rodney began to notice that he tired easily, and soon it was too hard to even get off the couch to go to the mailbox. Finally, RodneyÍs wife insisted her husband pay a visit to a doctor. His doctor then sent Rodney to a cardiologist. The news was extremely bad. The cardiologist told Rodney that a virus had attacked his heart, and that there was nothing the doctor could do for him. His only hope, the cardiologist explained, was to have a heart transplant, and that he had only six months to a year to live. But, after the horrible news was presented to him, a series of miraculous events were about to take place that would bring two families together in a way that bonded them forever.

43min - Living Proof In 1990, Danny was diagnosed with a rare lung disease. His doctors told him that his life expectancy was five years, at best. The news was devastating for Danny, his wife Kathy, and their college-age daughter, Carrie. Danny decided to ensure that his wife and daughter would be able to carry on after his death, so, he bought property and set about supervising the construction of a new home for them to live in. He figured that Kathy and Carrie would be able to sell it for a profit if they were to ever encounter money problems in the future. What Danny didnÍt count on was a miracle _ a miracle of kindness and friendship given to him by his neighbors. Dogwood LyleÍs son had a pregnant female cat that gave birth to a litter of five kittens. The runt of the litter took an immediate liking to Lyle, and Lyle couldnÍt resist the charm of the kitten, but he knew that his wife Doris would be angry about the new addition to the family. Doris eventually accepted the kitten into the home, and the family soon named the kitten Dogwood. One night, Dogwood knew something was wrong, and somehow he knew that Doris was the only one who could help. DogwoodÍs actions saved his ownersÍ lives. MarkÍs Mustang Mark grew up in a close, loving family. He was passionate about life, and wanted to dedicate his own life to helping others. He and his father loved to spend time together, and at the age of twelve, the two began scouring the newspapers for a Í65 Mustang to fix up. The car would be a father/son project, and the goal was to finish the car by MarkÍs 16th birthday. But, tragedy was about to strike the family. A month before MarkÍs 13th birthday, Mark was diagnosed with cancer. So began two-and-a-half years of hell for Mark and the family. After MarkÍs death, Eva and Bela were devastated. Their sonÍs beautifully restored Mustang sat in the garage until his parents decided the best way they could help their son fulfill his wish was to donate the Mustang to charity. The Mustang went on an incredible four-year journey that raised thousands of dollars in donations for cancer research and ended up back home with the family through divine intervention. The family believes their beloved Mustang, which had completed its mission, was guided back home by their angelic sonÍs loving spirit. DeputyÍs Daughter Just before Randy, a Deputy Sheriff, left for work one day, his five-year-old daughter Taylor insisted that he wear his bulletproof vest. Though Randy told his little girl that he didnÍt have a dangerous assignment that day, she begged him to wear the vest, going so far as to retrieve it from the closet, and give it to him. Because she was so insistent, Randy relented and put on the vest. As it turned out, It was a move that would save his life.

43min - Sadie Michael suffered a massive heart attack while he was hunting quail in the woods behind his residence. He was almost a half-mile from home when he was stricken. Michael floated in and out of consciousness, while his forty-five-pound dog dragged his 180-pound body uphill inch by inch in bitter cold temperatures all the way home. Finally home, Michael was able to alert his wife Lisa who immediately called 9-1-1. Older Brother Thora always dreamed of having an older brother, especially growing up in a town of 500 people where she was the only girl in class with twenty-three boys. The boys made a game out of who could make her cry first. Then, one day Thora heard the voice of what she thought was her brother telling her that everything would be alright. From that point on she had a new found confidence, and that she could now face the bullies at school. Little did she know that, years later, her feelings about wanting an older brother would come true. Second Chance When Isaias developed a rash on his face, the doctors diagnosed it as eczema. The doctor gave him some face cream, and told him it would clear up shortly, but, the rash worsened and Isaias began to get physically weak. After going for a second opinion, the doctor concluded that Isaias had non-HodgkinÍs lymphoma, and Isaias needed to start chemotherapy immediately. When the treatment didnÍt work, the doctors told Isaias that his only hope was a bone-marrow transplant. Lucky for Isaias, his brother was a perfect match. After two weeks past, IsaiasÍ health seemed to improve allowing his wife to finally leave the hospital for a good nightÍs sleep. But, upon arriving home, Sylvia received a call from the hospital who told her that her husband had taken a turn for the worse, and was immediately put on life support. Two more weeks passed, and doctors finally suggested that Sylvia begin making final arrangements for her husband. It was time to take Isaias off life support. Sylvia listened as the humming of the machines stopped. And, what happened next was something that the doctors had no explanation for. Asleep at the Wheel One August evening Robin had a horrible feeling that something was terribly wrong. Her daughter, Kellie, was supposed to be home hours ago, and she had always been diligent about calling her mother is he knew she was going to be late. In a split-second, Johnny lost control of his bike, and he hit a utility pole, which threw him off the bike, landing him injured on the curb. His screams for help seemed unanswered until a neighbor found him and brought him to the hospital. ItÍs a miracle Johnny was found that night, and today he is giving back. He is a doctor who has dedicated his life to helping others.

By relentlessly licking JoseÍs motherÍs face, scratching, meowing, and then running to and from her masterÍs room, Brat alerted the entire household to JoseÍs life-threatening situation. Paramedics rushed Jose to the hospital, and he was in a coma for a week. When he awoke, Jose found out that it had been touch and go, and that there was a chance that he wasnÍt going to make it. He was stunned to learn that he owed his life to his beloved cat Brat who had miraculously acted astutely enough to get her master the help he needed in a timely fashion. Lifeguard Down A young man jumped from a cliff to the ocean below trying to conquer his fears of cliff-jumping. However, the jump was the easy part. As he tried to climb back up the cliff, the waves started to swell behind him, and he began crashing into the cliff. The current then started to pull the young man further into the ocean. Miraculously, a lifeguard boat passed by, and one of the lifeguards jumped into the water and began helping the man to shore. However, the waves were even too strong for the lifeguard to manage, and both men were pulled underwater and eventually lost consciousness. Thankfully, the lifeguard came to, and miraculously was able to save the both of them.

Episode 13: Miracle of the Menorah; The Best Christmas Present; The Gift of Love; Christmas Island

43min - Arnold Geier and his family boarded a train to take them to start a new life in the United States one chilly morning in December 1938. Little did they know that their journey on the train that day would prove to be one that Arnie and his family would never forget. With the support of her husband, Jenny agreed to take part in a series of hypnotic regression sessions that were tape-recorded and documented. These sessions helped Jenny dredge up deeper memories of MaryÍs life, and she was able to visualize the register on MaryÍs wedding day, and even see her maiden name. Jenny was also able to remember the names of MaryÍs eight children. Finally, in 1989, the incredible and miraculous occurred. Jenny went to Malahide, Ireland, where she believed Mary and her children had lived, and confirmed that Mary Sutton had not only existed, she was actually able to locate some of her real children, who were now her parentsÍ age. MaryÍs children were astonished at what Jenny knew about them, and their family. Jenny explained that she believed that she was reincarnated, and she went as far as getting a researcher to take separate statements from Jenny and the children. To everyoneÍs amazement, JennyÍs knowledge matched the stories of MaryÍs children. JennyÍs meeting with Mary SuttonÍs children served as almost a reunion of children with their mother. They were very pleased to have Jenny in their lives, and they continue to keep in touch to this day. Some of the children believe that their mother had used Jenny as a way of coming back and communicating with them again. Others felt that it was a case of reincarnation. None of them had any doubts that their mother was, in one way or another, inside Jenny Cockell. Liver Heals After a hiking trip on the Appalachian Trail, Bill Owen was feeling unusually fatigued, and began running a high fever. Within a few short days, his condition rapidly deteriorated, and doctors told him that he needed a liver transplant. He fell into a coma, and was on life support when a minister came to his room to perform a healing ritual from the Book of Common Prayer. Soon after the healing ritual, Bill inexplicably began to show signs of improvement. A short time thereafter, he became fully recovered. The doctors at the hospital called him ñthe miracle man.î The Nicholas Effect A senseless act of violence was about to change this familyÍs future forever. Reginald and Maggie were on vacation in Italy in the fall of Í94. While driving on the road at night, their car was approached by bandits. 43min - MomÍs Abduction For Amy Beth Maxwell, car rides will never be quite the same. Early in January 1999, the young mother was kidnapped by her former boyfriend. David M. Later on, Maxwell managed to smash out the lens of the red brake light, and shoved anything she could find through the hole. A couple from Ohio noticed her poking her fingers through the hole, and called the police, who eventually pulled the car over and arrested Tate. Sammy Saves Spot This story is a modern day ñCharlotteÍs Web,î but with a twist. This little piggy risked her life to save a friend and calf named ñSpotî from a fire in the shed. Ever since they were a few weeks old, ñSammyî the pig and Spot the calf were close friends. On May 4, 1999, there was an electrical fire in the shed, and it was then that their strong bond became even more apparent. Owner Les Morgan thought that the animals were lost, but when the fire crew arrived, they found a squealing pig. She had used her backside to smash a hole in the burning wall of the shed to help Spot escape the blaze. Football Coach Jeffrey is determined to make his dream of becoming a football coach a reality. This may not seem too difficult for a bright, young man attending the University of Missouri who is already working as an assistant coach, but for Jeffrey, every accomplishment in his life has been a miracle because he suffers from severe cerebral palsy. Jeffrey is confined to a power wheelchair, and he speaks with the help of a computerized voice synthesizer. The obstacles heÍs overcome has made him an inspiration to everyone heÍs met, including the entire football team at the University of Missouri. Oregon Capsized When some weekend fisherman travel too close to the breaking surf in Newport, OR, their boat flips over, and the men find themselves dangerously close to the nearby rocks. Responding to this emergency is a Coastguard helicopter and two Coastguard boats that deploy specially trained rescue swimmers to help save the men from the eight-foot swells.

43min - Television Reunion For over forty years, Ernest thought heÍd lost his brother in Auschwitz. CarterÍs mom, Sharrill, lived in a rural area near the northern Minnesota town of Walker. She lived on a two-mile stretch of road, and her house was one of only two homes on that particular road. Dawn began to get worried, and Carter tried to reassure her that they would be okay. Just then, the car shot into a ditch. The wheels spun futilely as Carter pressed on the accelerator, and they were now stuck, and the snow was relentless. The couple now stood in the freezing temperatures wondering what their next move would be. They quickly returned to the warmth of the car and started the engine to turn on the heat, but within fifteen minutes, the car died. Their only hope was to seek help, but the blizzard proved to be much too daunting for Dawn, so Carter decided that he would set off alone. Carter ran towards a house not far off in the distance, but the man living there was unwilling to help. Carter was desperate and unsure if heÍd make it back to the car, as he was quickly becoming drained of energy. Suddenly, he pitched forward into a snowdrift, and everything went black. When he came to, he noticed something warm and furry covering him. It was some sort of large animal, a dog with black fur, perhaps? He could tell that the animal wanted to help him, and he decided to lie on Carter until he regained his strength, and was able to warm up. Without this animal, Carter surely would have died. He finally regained enough strength and returned to the car. He and Dawn huddled together until the sun came out. They managed to find a ride to SharrillÍs, and Carter told his mom about the adventure. Sharrill told her son that she had noticed a black wolf walking around the neighborhood recently, and that must have been the animal that miraculously saved his life. DivaÍs Black Cat Though Blackey was a stuffed animal, he was far from just that to Diva. He was her best friend. Her mother had given him to her as a gift when she was only four years old. She cherished Blackey, and took him everywhere with herƒ family vacations, school, after school activities, weekend getaways, etc. But, one day, something devastating would happen. Diva lost Blackey after forgetting him on the school bus. The family thought theyÍd never find Blackey again, but miraculously, they would come upon him miles away from home, and miles from where he was originally lost. The probability of finding Blackey was very small, and even though Diva is a child, she knew that a miracle had touched her life. Mission Miracle A once successful business executive loses everything, and becomes homeless, because of his addiction to drugs. But, one day, by pure chance, he found himself in front of the L.A. Mission, and he decided then and there to enroll in their drug rehabilitation program. This was the beginning of his journey back. Now, he spends his days giving hope to others who still struggle with drug addiction. One False Move An avid surfer almost loses his life. While riding a wave on a summerÍs day, he wipes out and his lifeless body floats in the water face down. Fortunately, a bystander spots him, only to discover the man has no pulse, and the tide was pulling them farther out to sea. Miraculously, out of the blue, Newport lifeguards came to their rescue and took the surfer to the hospital.

Their son clung to life for months until April of 1997, when he was given only a few more days to live. In August, and to everyoneÍs surprise, he was still alive, but very close to death, when a new doctor stepped up to the plate and agreed to perform a surgery that would give this young boy back his life, and help many others in the future. DaltonÍs Dilemma We let down our guard for just a moment and thatÍs when things can, and often, go wrong. It was on March 10 at around 7:00PM when a moment in time changed the lives of Shirley and John Fort and their small grandson, Dalton Pearson. Innocently enough, a routine shopping trip turned into a life and death situation. Leaving his keys in the ignition is not something that John Fort was accustomed to doing, but accidents happen. Suddenly, without warning, a strange young man jumps into their van and speeds away, taking Dalton with him. Shirley and John were horrified.
