Welcome back to 165 Eaton Place, where a new set of occupants are bringing the historic townhouse back to life. It's 1936, and Sir Hallam Holland, a young diplomat, and his wife Lady Agnes have just moved in, eager to restore the house to its former glory. But as they settle into their new home, they're faced with the challenges of finding the right staff to run the household. With the help of former parlourmaid Rose Buck, now a successful agency owner, they begin to assemble a team of dedicated servants. But it's not all smooth sailing. The household is soon filled with the Holland's extended family, including Lady Agnes' fiery sister Lady Persephone and Sir Hallam's overbearing mother Maud, who brings along her own secretary and pet monkey. As the staff struggles to adapt to their new roles, they must also navigate the still-painful memories of Lady Agnes' past miscarriage and a mystery surrounding Sir Hallam's late sister. But despite the challenges, the new downstairs staff begins to form a tight-knit community, learning to overcome their differences and come together as a team.
