Honestly I don’t mind if Patrick Steward want to reinvented Captain Piccard, but in doing so he dismantling a lot of that the previous shows has built. It is not a matter of what I like and dislike anymore (a lot of TNG parts are not my favorite)...
...if fans of TNG are looking to see their favorite characters return looking distinguished and engaged, this new season of Picard is probably the first one they may find to be worth sitting through to find out the answer.
