Based on a true story, Walking with the Enemy tells the heroic tale of a young Jewish man named Elek Cohen who, separated from his family during the Nazi occupation of Hungary, embarks on a perilous mission to save thousands of his countrymen from certain death. Disguising himself as an SS officer, Elek bravely infiltrates the enemy's ranks, using his knowledge of German to redirect Jews to safe houses instead of concentration camps. As the war rages on, Elek's fearless impersonation of a Nazi officer allows him to save countless lives, but also puts him and those he loves in grave danger. With the fate of Hungary's Jews hanging in the balance, Elek must confront his own mortality and make the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the survival of his people.
