The Sandman

In this surreal comedy-drama, Benno, a misanthropic stamp collector, finds himself mysteriously losing sand every day. Despite visiting several doctors and a psychic, he cannot find a solution to his bizarre problem. As the sand piles up, Benno's relationships with his girlfriend and coworkers deteriorate. In desperation, he turns to Sandra, a frustrated singer who runs a coffee shop beneath his apartment. Through their shared dreams, they discover that the key to stopping the sand lies in Beethoven's 9th symphony. But as they work together to perform the piece, their mutual dislike turns into something unexpected. Will they be able to overcome their differences and find a way to stop the sand before it's too late?
