What is Taps about? 
In the movie Taps, a group of military cadets, led by Cadet Major Brian Moreland (Timothy Hutton), take extreme measures to save their academy from being shut down by local developers. When their commander, General Harlan Bache (George C. Scott), is arrested after a fatal incident, the cadets decide to take control of the campus and demand to negotiate with the board of trustees.
