In the movie "Blue Hawaii," Chad Gates (Elvis Presley) returns to Hawaii after being discharged from the Army and starts working as a tour guide. His first customers are a group of attractive school girls, including Ellie Corbett (Pamela Austin), who becomes smitten with Chad. Chad's girlfriend, Maile Duval (Joanna Barnes), becomes jealous and quits her job in protest. Chad and Maile independently continue guiding Abigail and the four youths, taking them to Kaua'i. Along the way, Chad and Ellie have a wild adventure that includes a spanking and an attempted suicide.
