Shelter

Shelter tells the story of two people from different worlds who find love and hope on the streets of New York City. Tahir, a Nigerian immigrant, and Hannah, a heroin addict, form an unlikely bond as they struggle to survive homelessness. Despite their difficult pasts, they find solace in each other and share their stories, leading them to fall in love. As they work to overcome their challenges and build a future together, Tahir's health begins to deteriorate, and he eventually passes away, joining his wife and child who died in Nigeria. Hannah, however, finds the strength to overcome her addiction and return to her son in California, thanks to the love and support of Tahir. The film explores themes of love, loss, hope, and redemption, highlighting the struggles of those living on the streets and the importance of human connection in the face of adversity. With strong performances from Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie, Shelter is a powerful and moving portrayal of the power of love and the human spirit.
