"Sarkar" is a Tamil language film that tells the story of Sundar Ramaswamy, a wealthy and ruthless NRI corporate raider who returns to India to cast his vote in a state election. When he discovers that someone has already voted in his place, he sets out to expose the electoral fraud and enters into a dangerous political conflict with two corrupt ministers. As he delves deeper into the world of politics, Sundar realizes that the entire system needs reform and decides to contest the election as an independent candidate. Despite facing numerous assassination attempts and smear campaigns, Sundar remains determined to bring about change and ultimately wins the election, along with his supporters. However, he refuses to become the Chief Minister and instead chooses an honest collector to hold the position.
