"Based on a True Story" is a psychological thriller that explores the complex relationship between two women. Delphine, a successful author, is struggling with writer's block and personal demons after the release of her latest book. She meets Elle, an enigmatic young woman who seems to understand her better than anyone else. As their friendship deepens, Delphine becomes increasingly dependent on Elle, who begins to take control of her life. But as their relationship becomes more toxic, Delphine realizes that Elle may not be who she seems. The film features a stellar cast, including Emmanuelle Seigner and Eva Green, and is directed by Roman Polanski.
